The aim of this blog, apart from writing reviews and making interviews, is to be an ongoing survey and artistic experimentation. Thanks to this blog you will come across various artists who, in one way or another, have their own distinctive features and work in various fields such as cinema, music, visual and fine arts. They are introduced to you without a pre-established order, because we trust in the theory of chaos. Powered by SoundLab

Nilza Costa on Rebel Base!
Nilza Costa - Roots (FonoFabrique)
For the successor of her 2014 effort 'Revolution, Rivoluzione, Revolução', Nilza Costa focused on her African roots ('Ya Ti Aye') and the plight of the many refugees who continue to flood Italy's coasts - Nilza lives and works in Bologna - haven't left her indifferent either ('Clandestino', 'Viagem'). And of course the candomblé-religion remains a great source of inspiration a well (opner 'Atoto', 'Onissaure', 'Triad', 'Adupé'). The influences from reggae and samba seem to have disappeared and instead we mostly get jazz ('Ya Ti Aye', 'Triade')
